![]() ![]() Oh, not for an hour, but during one whole day this time! The result was, as to be expected of an average post-election politician: Nothing happened! And the database size is still the same whopping 148Mbytes!Īs described in the "advice", I would see "not much activity" when optimizing the database: well, that's the understatement of the year for sure: There's no visible or measurable activity at all! Nothing! Zilch! Zero! The disk activity is nil, and the CPU is so bored with doing nothing, that afer 12 hours of waiting, it just went to sleep mode! And before anyone starts: yes, same (absence of) result when sleepmode is switched off. And it's size still measures 148Mbytes!Īgain, I left the computer 'optimizing'. When I remove ALL items: 0 appointments, 0 tasks, 0 notes, 0 contacts, 0 e-mails, 0 passwords, 0 trashbin-items remain in the database. So again: My database measures 148Mbytes: in it: 2131 appointments, 10 tasks, 34 notes, 100 contacts, 635 e-mails, 10 passwords (no, I'm not going to tell you which ), and 6 items in the trashbin. If you read my first comment more carefully, you'd have seen that I optimized my database for several hours already, with no result. Yes, well, that advise was pretty useless: "Optimizing can take up to an hour". You can also remove old items using EPIM Archiver/DupeRemover which is free and downloadable from our website.
